Silver has the highest conductivity of any metal, which is why Stager chose pure silver (99.9995%) to make its cables. The connectors are also available in silver, but the RCA standards are gold-plated brass. Stager uses Teflon insulators, and a special coating on the connectors that acts as a conditioner, preservative and conductor.
